Summer Fun

Summer is here...our first day and the boys are still sleeping! Yeah! 
There are so many different activities offered and sometimes I have one of those summer days where I just need something to help entertain my little cherubs. I am sure this summer being pregnant, there might be a day or two that I need a little added entertainment while I just take a second to absorb it all!  (or just catch my breath...)
Every summer, I try to take all the free and inexpensive activities that take place around the area and put them on a calendar. It just helps for those evenings when I have no plans the next day and want some. Hope this helps you as well!
Looking forward to meeting up with many of you at some of these great afternoons or evenings!

(Note: Tum - stands for Tumwater...Century Link is not the one in Seattle as my sweet hubby asked in a concerned voice....it is the movie theatre at the Olympia Mall.)

    Monica, Congratulations! I had no idea you were pregnant...that is amazing news.

    Thanks for all of the good tips :) I will use some of them once we get back from California and the novelty of summer has worn off.

It is summer vacation…my five and seven year old have learned that it is ok to sleep past 7 am…I am enjoying a cup of coffee and getting laundry folded before the rush of the day begins. Have a Little Faith...

Need a good book to read? I finished one this summer that I truly enjoyed by the author, Mitch Albom, who also wrote, “Tuesdays with Morie.” I picked it up at my parents’ house…thank you to my sister-n-law, who does not even know that I have it, for letting me borrow it. I am really enjoying it. Probably a good book to read at this phase of my life.   It is not often that I want to highlight a book as I read it..this is one that I am jotting down all of my favorite phrases as I read…here are a few… Faith is about doing. "Kick a Bug Juice"

A while back I was tackling that uncontrollable pile of magazines that always acculmulates in my house. I came across a recipe for "kick a bug" juice. I hung it on the cupboard and thought I would use it the next time I was sick. Well, about six months later...I have a head cold that is just lingering on. Mom of two little ones being a the slightest bit sick is no fun at all. So I threw together the "kick the bug" juice. I just so happend to have all the ingredients on hand. I am not sure if it is the mixture that is kicking the bug or the thought of actually drinking this concoction that makes one think themself better.
