Trying To Blog...

You know, I am not a writer...I taught Language Arts to highly capable sixth graders...so one would think that writing could be a passion of mine. Well it is not and never has been. I do not think it has ever come easy for me. This could be why I have such a hard time blogging. I am trying to change this...there is so much in my life that I would enjoy documenting and looking back on it later and I often find myself lost in other's blogs...just normal people much like me. So really not normal at all...very fun and unique individuals that have so much to share and offer.

So here I go again, hoping to make a consistent entry of my normal life where I am trying to enjoy each moment and keep things simple.

"Kick a Bug Juice"

A while back I was tackling that uncontrollable pile of magazines that always acculmulates in my house. I came across a recipe for "kick a bug" juice. I hung it on the cupboard and thought I would use it the next time I was sick. Well, about six months later...I have a head cold that is just lingering on. Day 4 - Whole 30

Day 4 Breakfast - Grapefruit, 2 Eggs Scrambled with Turkey Sausage Lunch - Egg Salad wrapped in Lettuce Wraps Dinner - No Cross Fit today....but extremely sore from yesterday....did squats with weights and my lower back is extremely sore! Allergies still crazy...and getting some energy back but still not ready to go run a marathon!

Another try at WHOLE 30.

Here I go with another try at a Whole 30. On my second week of Cross Fit and ready to make a serious change with my eating and my body....something needs to give here. Getting down to one pair of jeans left in my closet and I refuse to buy any more until I am back to where I know I can be....so LET's DO THIS....Both feet in! DAY ONE was May Day - May 1st. Breakfast - Scrambled Eggs with Sautéed Red Peppers and Onions Mixed in with a small side of shredded potatoes. Lunch - Shredded Beef on top of Cauliflower Rice. Dinner - Hamburgers and I had mine on an Eggplant Bun. Snacks....Apples and Watermelon DAY TWO Already want to let it go....got a bad case of allergies on Day One and it had my head just all clogged up for my first back to real life day of the week...you know husband is off in Nebraska working and kids at school. I headed to Cross Fit...Check - Got that in...Last part of the WOD, a mile run, I got the 800 meter mark and there went my knee....so much pain
