Brr...It is COOOOLD!

Day 121 As I sit here at 5 a.m., it is a little chilly here in our “palace.” I keep turning the heat up and realize that no matter what I do, it is blowing cold air…uh-oh. Good thing we have secondary heat options and everyone is hunkered down in nice warm down comforters with shelter over their heads.  To-do for tomorrow…figure out why the heat is not coming on? Maybe our of propane? I hope it is such a simple fix. (update...I turned the stove on- well attempted to, and we are out of propane!  Thank  Goodness!!) I started out here thinking I was going to give a house update. So here it goes, wait all I can think about is cuddling up by our fireplace that is on the way to our new home. Well, there is an update…the laminate floor guys were here to install the laminate. (They are done and it looks amazing! YEAH - one step closer.) But back to the fireplace, we built a hearth for the fireplace to sit on and it is “almost” finished…it is missing the key element of the plywood und

Getting Closer..

Day 116 Our camping life is slowly coming to a close. I CAN’T WAIT!!! Day by day there is progress in the house and almost all of the decisions are made, now we wait for the work to be completed. Never fast enough, patience is truly a gift from above!  It is really amazing to look back at the entire process and how it all played out…seems like just yesterday that we were discussing the foundation.  At this time, the painter is touching up the trim and painting it, while he waits for nice days to paint the outside. The cabinet installer is here installing most of the cabinets, while the rest of the cabinets are being built. The contractor’s worker is here in and out doing odd end things waiting for his next job. Today, the pressure tank was moved into the garage as well as the power for it. Now we can back fill and get the ground ready for the rest of the concrete pours…on that next sunny day? The driveway is getting muddier and bumpier day by day with each rainfall. Tomorrow,

Day 102 Morning 66 AHHH let there be light!   Every day now smoothing is new or changing. But today one of the new realities was that little Addie must have an ear ache. After two days of over fussy baby and me thinking wow…she is figuring this out…she cries/wines…she gets what she wants. Need to put a stop to this, right? Then for the last two hours she was awake today…she kept pulling on her ear. Poor baby girl…this explains the fussiness and easily upset baby girl. The moment you realize it as a mom and kick yourself a little for not putting it all together a little sooner. (Okay, no, I am not beating myself up here…but really I am not the only one that does this am I?) Thank goodness for the new friend down the street, who has a son in Easton’s class, she had the boys at her house playing so I could focus on little girl. Fed her, showered her, gave her a nice dose of Tylenol and then off to bed. Advil is now ready for the next time that she wakes.  Still a little time b
